Hi Harry,
I had a Compassion Project stand at the markets last Sunday and some people came and shared experiences I want to share with you, as the creator of the precious gift of the Compassion exercise and the gorgeous, wonderful, beautiful card it’s printed on. I feel joy every time I hand it to someone.
All these people are Indigenous Australians, both from Darwin and from traditional bush communities.
One, a friend, came up and gave me a huge hug, so grateful as he shared that he had been in a depression for 2 weeks recently and then used the Compassion Exercise to shift himself out of it. He had then given the exercise to a friend who was in a conflict with someone. She did the exercise and later told my friend “we spoke normal after that”. He was with a friend from Sydney, also Indigenous. I gave her a Compassion Card and she loved it.
Then 2 young women from a bush community (Maningrida) came to the table, and told me someone had already given them this card and the exercise had really helped them. It was a woman who was working in their community who came to the stand a few months ago and took some extra cards to give to people.
So.. here were these 2 young women, who are training to be teachers in their community, out in the bush, hundreds of miles from the nearest town, who have your Compassion exercise and are using it in their lives. They gave me their contact details and want to do an Introduction. And they took 5 cards each to give to others.
Because of your intention Harry, to help the guy next to you wake up, and then tell him to pass it on, and creating a way to do it, so many lives have been touched, rippling out to even the remotest regions of Australia.
Thank you Harry. Love,
Lizzy Mellick- Australia
